I’m excited to share that my book, Chicago Roller Skating History: 1880-2025, is published! It is the only book published about Chicago’s roller skating legacy.

I started researching this topic in 2009 after speaking with a few skaters at Markham Roller Skating Rink in Markham, IL. They gave me names of rinks where they skated in the 1950s and 60s, which lead me on a quest to learn more.
After 16 years of researching, interviewing skaters, compiling information and procrastinating, the book is finished and can be purchased from www.ChicagoSkateHistory.com.
